   I know that most shooters have become obsessed with “electronic” earmuffs… but I think that many are overlooking the advantages of a set “passive” cans. While electronics may be great for hunting, they fall a bit short when it comes to indoor and outdoor range shooting.

   This set of Walkers passives offer +/- 2-3db more NRR/SNR than their comparable electronic counterparts (even with their electronics turned off). While that may not sound like much, it’s a +/- 10% reduction in realized sound. So if you don’t need of the ambient sound enhancement of electronic muffs and just want to block out the sound impact of adjacent and your own weapon, these Walker passives deserve serious consideration.

   For what it’s worth, I own several sets of electronic hearing protection including Walkers and MSA Sordins, as well as a couple of sets of passive muffs and plugs… Indoors, these are the standout!

   The ear muffs are not comfortable. But I guess they need to maintain this strong pressure to ensure the ear cups are secured on your ears.

   The biggest disappointment is the noise reduction. It’s not very effective. The amount of noise reduced is about the same as a normal pair of over ear headphones. So you’re better off getting a pair of comfortable over ear headphones.

   I guess the redeeming feature of these ear muffs is the price and build quality.

   Overall, I’ll recommend looking for something else.

    Good product but was really tight on my head had to leave them on the box it came in over night to stretch them some before they became more comfortable enough to wear I’ve had no problems otherwise can still hear a bit of sound even though my other brand actually saiys they block out less noise but those work better they seem durable and they adjust well and don’t catch when you adjust them

    Much, much quieter than in-ear foam ear plugs. And much better than some junky over-the-ear sets I’ve used. I had a very expensive one at work once that was extremely uncomfortable – these are not like that. But they definitely squeeze the head and can give me a headache after 1/2 hour to 1 hour. I think it just goes with the territory, whenever you get a quiet over-the-ear set.

    Four stars for value. I don’t give it five because it doesn’t seal as well when I turn my neck much.

    I have a somewhat big head and lots of headgear and hats do not fit. I am not expanding the band to the max, so I would say it will fit some really big heads.

    Tenho uma grande dica para quem achou o abafador muito apertado. Sobre a qualidade do produto é impecável, tive experiência com o DeltaPlus Interlagos Light e posso afirmar que o Walker’s consegue superar. A sensação de usá-lo é bem confortável em relação aos ruídos externos e internos, sinto que consigo me ouvir melhor quando falo/respiro/ando. Ele não traz a sensação de que você está em um aquário, como já senti em outras marcas. O único porém é que realmente ele vem bastante apertado, eu coloquei o risco por minha conta e fiz força para alargar o arco que pega na cabeça, o que resolveu completamente o problema e aumentou ainda mais o conforto, pois o material que fica no ouvido já era bastante macio e utilizo óculos de grau. Acredito que o arco seja completamente em metal pelo que notei tentando ver por dentro, então vale tentar. O design dele é impecável de lindo (foi o que mais me chamou atenção para a compra), os materiais que compõe são superiores pelo toque super macio e estrutura em metal, não o sinto pesado ao uso por horas. Utilizo para estudo em casa e em biblioteca pública e foi essencial para aumentar meu rendimento. Mesmo morando em cidade de clima quente (Belém do Pará) consigo usá-lo com o ventilador bem forte por perto e não sentir incômodo do barulho. Estava receosa por ver vários comentários falando que ele é muito apertado mas lhe garanto que vale a compra e vale tentar alargar essa parte do arco. Após alargar o arco ele não perdeu nada em relação a qualidade de abafar, mas vá com calma.
