   Considering the price, this thing really works well. Got it for my wife and the batteries just go and go… and it does make everything much louder. Works just as well or better than the expensive Songbird brand. Well worth the investment.

   I have mild hearing loss and didn’t want to spend hundreds (yet) or thousands (ever). I decided to try three of the cheap ones (all between $10 to $15), figuring it would be a financial victory if only one worked. I ordered the SSI Mini, the Walker Ultra and the Loud n Clear at the same time. The Loud n Clear looks like the same model that Radio Shack sells also. The Loud n Clear was loud, but not at all clear, with much background hiss, as well as the most visually conspicuous and the least comfortable. The Walker was better than that, but stopped working after a couple of hours, perhaps from electronic feedback from another device. Te SSI was the best of the three by far. Fits well, works well for my purpose, and can’t beat the price!

   I wear two in the ear hearing aids, and sometimes they need to go in for repair which leaves me without most of my ability to hear. This works just fine as a backup, so if you’re thinking of trying it, go right ahead. The price is GREAT!

   It did not work! I tried different batteries to no avail. I also bought similar “BTE” unit for about the same price, a Woodland Whisper VTC. It worked fine.

   For the price of this item is well worth to buy. I bought this item for myself and its fits inside my ear okay, but the sound quailty wasn’t great but good enough for me to hear and understand people at a close distance that I wouldn’t normally be able to understand. At a short distance the audio was poor, but again for the price its okay. The other problem was color, this only came in one color and stood out on me, because I am not caucasian or even a light shade of brown. If you are hard of hearing and on a budget, yes I would recommend this product. Just know that you are paying a low price and not to expect great quaility .

   This earpiece squeals constantly every time I move my head. If I turn it down then I can’t hear anything. Maybe it is only this earpiece. Is anyone else having this problem?
