My only complaint is that youre falsely advertised by the color of the ear muffs. In the photo AND the packaging it shows a light pink with brown branches but as you can see when you get the pink ones its more of a dark neon pink which is a little annoying because thats not what i expected to pay for but they are still good protection and will use them for sure.

I picked these up on a Black Friday deal and I was very surprised. These are amazing. I was skeptical on electronic earmuffs because I didn't know if it would decipher between the decibels of a gunshot and other background noise. But these do a very good job. Without getting into the science and knowing the science of it. Anything over a certain decibel is muffed down. These are extremely comfortable, extremely easy to use, and the adjustable volume makes it very easy to hear everything around you without live gunfire in the background making you deaf.

Been using this heading protection for various shooting activities. (Trap, Skeet, Pistol qualifications.) 1. Pros - Audio is clear. Almost like not wearing hearing protection at all. When I first got them, I was amazed walking around the house by how easily it could pick up noise. - Comfortable. I use eye pro as well and sometimes wear a hat. This is sometimes problematic for me as head-set style hearing protection can get to be a literal pain. This headset was somehow comfortable while wearing hearing pro, eye pro and a camo hat. 2. Cons - Kind of pricey for what they are, there are cheaper options on the market. - No Case - Not sure how big of a deal that is. But I almost want to buy a case for these so they aren't just floating in my backpack to get snagged and a cable torn out. Undetermined so far: -Durable. Pending (at the time of this review). So far, so good, but I really want these things to go through some longevity tests before comment. Overall: Very happy with this purchase. Solid product that's worth the price.

It is a great product, works perfectly and the quad mics offer clear crisp 360 degree sound with incredible clarity I'm 100% satisfied!!

According to description gel pads are attached to the ear muffs, however only regular ear pads were installed. see attached image.

Walker’s makes many different brands, colors, and features of headsets. The XCEL 100’s are one of the newest and best designs. The model I reviewed currently only comes in green and did not include Bluetooth capability. Besides the headset, in the packaging was a folded set of instructions and a set of Duracell batteries. The batteries in the package had a current expiration date. The headset folds nicely for a range bag and easily unfolds for use. The instructions also unfold to a clear 5x8 paper owner’s manual . Simple rubber button controls on the left side, Power on, volume up/ down, and a mode switch. The headset speaks (English) when each button is pressed and they follow along with the written instructions. There are four modes of operation. Universal was fine for the range, Power Boost makes everything notably louder. Clear voice and High Frequency seemed to be about the same, adding a boost to the midrange toward the high end. Powered off the ear cup seals provided great isolation from loud noises at the range. Powered on the whole world opens up where you can hear the RSO but loud noises (gun fire) is severely muted. The microphones are mounted on the headband instead of the ear cups, providing much better isolation. There is a left and right microphone, providing a full stereo effect to help distinguish what direction sounds are coming from. To save battery The headset can also power itself off after a selectable 2, 4, or 6 hrs. That feature can also be disabled. It also remembers your last setting even after power off. Battery life has been good so far lasting a full day without issues. I would expect the batteries will go longer but I have a spare set of AAA’s in my range bag just in case. So far I’m pleased with the XCELS and expect them to provide years of service.

Wished I had gotten these sooner! A lot of time on the range gets pretty loud. Take care of your hearing without sacrificing your performance on the range with bulky muffs that get in the way. Easy to keep track of in the range bag or the guide bag.

2 Reviewers (DLP & Luke) mentioned the case too small or using force to make them fit are liars. Use your brain ppl. Anyway.... Like: comfortable (got a big ole head) Directional (the Walker Slim Quad-Bluetooth had 4 mics but wasn't directional, heard everything equally)] Music/Sound definitely better than the Walker's Slim Quad w/ Bluetooth. Easy instructions. listening to music in the range is nice. Dislike: none (my first semi expensive earmuff) In a span of one week I bought 2 Walker's Electronic Earmuffs. 1) The Slim Quad w/ Bluetooth and then the EXCEL 500BT. I liked the concept of having Bluetooth so I bought the Quads first. But soon enough I didn't like that it was NOT Directional even though it had 4 mics. So I went online and found the EXCEL 500BT and bought them a few days after. Went to the range today and with double protection (earplugs + earmuff) the music will sound low. I removed the (standard orange) earplugs and just used the earmuffs and they did great.

Packaging was smashed, crumpled, and figured that a box and plastic would protect it got the product out and the lense had a scratch and smudge. Disappointed

I ordered the Beige color but received Charcoal Gray. Not a BIG deal as I need them for an out of town competition so no time for an exchange. They sound great so far and I was able to receive a phone call with no issues. If they work that well right of the box I’m pretty sure they will be fine for the shoot.

I was disappointed that the package came broken. I bought these just to have a fee pairs and a small container that won’t squish them. Ear plugs work fine.

I purchased this product for the Quad microphone system and planned on installing the walkers walkie talkie that attaches to razor headsets. To my disappointment and oversight, the Walker Razor walkie-talkie doesn’t work on this headset as this unit doesn’t have the input jack. Looks like I’ll be purchasing the headset with the input jack as well and have to settle for a dual microphone system so I can use my Razor walkie talkie. I didn’t want to run 2 radios on my plate carrier and thought the razor walkie talkie system was a good option for local/team communication and use the designated radio with code red assault throat microphone and inner earpiece for communicating with the command structure.

Where to start!!!!! The majority of complaints and concerns you've probably read in the comments are very much factual. The Bluetooth connectivity SUCKS....... I even contacted Walkers in Texas and they said to send them back to walkersoutlet.com, which I did for a replacement, and it still has the same issue. I would hate to see how their (Walkers) replacement procedure are once the 30 days return window from Amazo expires. They stated I'd have to pay for the return and wait up to 2 months for a replacement, which would most likely be refurbished.... They work, they actually works awesome, the ear buds do their job, ITS the bluetooth connectivity that SUCKS. The only way I can go around the BS is by unpairing and repairing the headset, but then again it only holds connection with the app for that time of usage. My other biggest complaint is the self contained charger, when u place your earbuds in it to recharge, you have to MAKE SURE they sit and make contact with the charging probes, unlike let's say the airport cases that u just simply throw in and they automatically charge charge stay connected.. Keep in mind you don't need the app to use the features, BUT then don't pay the extra $$ for a feature that isn't stable. They work great at indoor ranges, even when shooting rifle or shotgun rounds.

Pros: nice decorations to fancy up your gear. Cons: depending on where you stick them to, you might need to sew them on. Summary: patches come with sticky back side, but has room for stitching.

Our daughter has very sensitive hearing and loves these. Helps her when she get overstimulated as well!
